Ordering across US time zones
Uganda runs on East Africa Time (UTC+3) and does not change its clocks. Depending on daylight saving, Kampala is 7 to 8 hours ahead of the East Coast (Boston, New York, Atlanta, Washington DC), 8 to 9 hours ahead of Texas and Minnesota, and 10 to 11 hours ahead of California.
Our WhatsApp is monitored from 8 AM to 8 PM East Africa Time, seven days a week. On the East Coast, that window opens around midnight or 1 AM and closes around noon or 1 PM. In California it opens the previous evening, around 9 or 10 PM.
What this means in practice:
- For a morning delivery in Kampala, message us the evening before, US time. The order is waiting when we come online.
- For same-day delivery in Kampala, order at least two hours before the delivery time you want. Cakes, balloons and timed surprises need the message before 11 AM Kampala time, which is the middle of the night on the East Coast. In practice, that means sending it before you go to bed.
- Outside Kampala, tell us the town and we confirm the delivery day before you pay.
Paying from the US
Payment details are shared on WhatsApp once your gift and date are agreed. Many diaspora customers use Remitly or Pegasus; the site also lists Visa, Mastercard, Wise and PayPal. Orders are confirmed only after payment is received.
What you get
The gift is prepared in Kampala and presented by our team. Your card carries your words, in any language.
