The safest way to plan end-of-year gifts for staff in Uganda is to build the list before you choose the gift. Split everyone into groups: office staff, support staff (drivers, cleaners, security), remote staff, staff upcountry and new joiners. Build the list by group
Ask HR and each department head for names under five headings:
- Office staff at head office and each branch.

- Upcountry staff at sites or homes outside Kampala.
- New joiners who started after the list was last updated.
