Corporate gifts arriving before a Juba event need a suitable waiting place and a clear custodian. Early arrival can give the organiser time to check the order, but it also creates a period when the gifts must be protected, kept together and held for the intended recipients.
Confirm where the packages will be kept before choosing the receiving date. A busy reception desk may be suitable for a handover but unsuitable for several days of storage. The receiving office should know how much space is needed and who will have access.
What should the storage plan cover?
Follow the selected products’ actual handling and storage instructions. Keep packaging away from conditions that could damage it, and agree how fragile contents will be protected from being moved or stacked carelessly. Ask about requirements for any food, liquids or electronics rather than assuming every gift can be stored in the same way.
Keep a simple record of quantities received and any sets opened for inspection. Return inspected items to their correct package and note anything removed for correction. Otherwise a box opened to check the contents can later appear to be an unexplained shortage.
Use clear group identifiers while keeping personal information discreet. A package for an executive meeting should not accidentally be handed out during staff distribution. Limit access to the people who need to manage the gifts, especially where names or private card messages are included.
If the event moves, review the contents and waiting period before simply leaving the gifts in place. Confirm whether dates, product condition or messages need another check. Do not assume the supplier or venue will provide extra storage without agreement.
Gifts intended for people in Uganda are a separate order from the Juba delivery; see our South Sudan page for how they are sent into Uganda.
When planning with MistaGift, share the proposed Juba receiving location and the interval before presentation. Ask for the handling information needed for the selected contents. The storage plan belongs alongside the transport and handover arrangement, so the gifts reach the presentation in the condition the organiser expects.
Ordinary Juba requests require at least three days’ advance notice. Customised, branded and larger orders need a separately confirmed lead time. Minimum notice is not a delivery guarantee; sourcing, transport and handover must be agreed for the specific order.
